In the latest updates for the Private i® Platform as well as the Private i Platform Excel Add-in, we added significant functionality and also enhanced existing functionality. Notably, we added the SASB® Sustainability Dimension Analysis report to the Private i home page, which provides an aggregative view of the Burgiss Manager Universe by SICS® Sector across asset classes, as well as a heatmap of sustainability-related issues for specific asset classes.
Next, we added functionality related to the Burgiss Private Capital Classification System (PCCS). Transparency Data and Portfolio Management users with the appropriate rights can now map a Burgiss PCCS value to a Client Managed value, which allows them to incorporate additional taxonomy values, rename a value, or move a value to a different level within the taxonomy. These users can also utilize the additional asset class categories that we added to the PCCS. Under Real Assets > Real Estate, we have added Core, which represents investments in stable, income-generating properties that require little to no capital expenditures. Under Real Assets > Natural Resources, we have added Agriculture, which represents investments in agriculture-related opportunities, and Metals and Minerals, which represents investments in metal and mineral exploration, as well as in production companies, related land, royalties, and any other investments that provide ownership interests in the underlying holdings. Lastly, the Domicile and Principal Operations for entities now display up to three levels of the Geography taxonomy from the PCCS.
Within the Dashboards and Reporting modules, a new parameter called Exclude Realizations Prior to Investment Closing Date is available in holdings-based dashboards and applicable holdings reports and structured exports. Transparency Data users can select this parameter to exclude full and partial holding realizations that occurred before the closing date of an investment. Within Dashboards > Configurable Dashboards, Portfolio Management users can select additional asset- and portfolio-level fields, including custom boolean and lookup fields, to group within applicable configurable widgets.
For clients who license both Carbon Footprinting of Private Equity and Debt Funds and Transparency Data, the Holdings-based Carbon Footprint Analysis dashboard now includes the Company Carbon Emissions. This field represents a company's most recently reported or estimated Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions (GHG), if available, in metric tons.
Lastly, enhancements have been made to the latest version of the Private i Platform Excel Add-in. For Transparency Data users, additional entity-level fields are available for filtering in holdings-based functions. For Universe Data users, minor updates have been made to specific Universe Analytics functions.
