Burgiss Private Capital Indexes Added to the Private i Platform, and More!

Over the course of the past few Private i® Platform updates, we have added more Burgiss Managed indexes, made enhancements to Ledgers, Configurable Dashboards, and Reporting, and renamed the Burgiss Excel Add-in to the Private i Platform Excel Add-in.

Released in early April for use within Portfolio Management, the MSCI USD High Yield Corporate Bond Index (TR), the MSCI USD Investment Grade Corporate Bond Index (TR), and the MSCI World Core Infrastructure (TR) index are now available for use within Universe Data as well. Additionally, in the interest of facilitating even more granular indexing capabilities, the Burgiss Private Capital Indexes are now available for use within Portfolio Management and Universe Data. These indexes are calculated from the Burgiss Manager Universe and can be used to perform public market comparisons.

For our Portfolio Management users, we have made enhancements to the Ledgers within Investments. These enhancements grant the ability to enter multiple transactions at once, allow for increased flexibility when entering dates for transactions and valuations, and provide improved searching capability for an entity within a stock transaction. Furthermore, the Configurable Dashboards have been enhanced in a few ways. First, users now have access to a new configurable widget, the Investment Summary, that displays summary-level absolute and relative performance, commitment, cash flow, and unfunded measures. Second, the dashboards now allow for data selection at the configurable dashboard level, which controls which investments and/or portfolios are included in the applicable widgets.

In addition, there are two new reports that are available for Portfolio Management users: Stock and Post Distribution Details and Stock and Post Distribution Details Local. Both reports provide stock and post stock distribution details within a specified date range in either the base or local currency of the investments. Also, more fields have been added to the Investment Transactions Structured Export.

For Transparency Data users, the Holding Analysis Structured Exports now include the US Region and the three levels of the Geography taxonomy for Principal Operations. For clients who also license Carbon Footprinting of Private Equity and Debt Funds, a new export, the Holding And Carbon Footprint Analysis Structured Export, is now available.

Additionally, we have added Thai Baht to the list of Burgiss Managed FX rates for Portfolio Management and Transparency Data users. View all of the currencies available within System Administration > FX Rates, as well as their associated Burgiss Managed rates.

Finally, we have renamed the Burgiss Excel Add-in to the Private i Platform Excel Add-in for all Private i Platform users. All available functions remain the same, and users can download the latest version of the Excel Add-in directly from the Private i home page.
