We are excited to announce the release of a new page that facilitates the bulk assignment of permissions and benchmarks to funds and portfolios: the Assignments page. This page, which is found under Setup > System Setup > Assignments, allows you to easily manage permission and benchmark assignments at both the fund and portfolio levels.
As a continuation of the major expansion to the Caissa Platform's access control capabilities, we have introduced user groups and fund controls, both of which simplify the user access control process.
Permissions for funds and portfolios can now easily be set up for groups of users via the creation of a user group. User groups can be useful in cases where custom permissions have been applied, and/or when new employees have been added to the team. It is simple to add people to the appropriate user group to grant them access to the appropriate funds and portfolios. Administrators can create and manage user groups on the Setup > Administrative > Manage User Groups page.
We have also introduced fund controls, which give you the ability to control an individual user’s access to funds. Previously, all funds were visible to all users by default. While this default still exists, administrators can now specify which users can see which funds.
